A Wizard101 Idea

This is basically a rough draft of an idea I came up with for an "endurance battle" dungeon for Wizard101. Basically, in a nutshell, it's a dungeon that you fight battle after battle to see how many fights you can win in a row. Please leave a comment about how this could be improved, and hopefully I can come up with a revised version with everyone's help.

Again, this is just a rough draft, it's not fully finished, but just an idea of the main concept.

So you are a grandmaster, you've beaten Malistaire, Celestia will be coming out soon, and you need some gold to say, hatch some new pets. Farming bosses works good, but what if there was a special dungeon where the further you went in, and the more battles you won, the greater the reward?

That's what the 'Endless Dungeon' is all about. This special dungeon is what I like to call an “endurance battle”. Basically, the goal is to fight and win as many fights as possible. You start out with easy battles, and as you progress, the battles will get tougher and will push your wizarding skills to the limits.

This dungeon would be available to all players level five and above, as this dungeon will have multiple levels, based on the level of the wizard. However, lower levels will have a lesser reward while the more difficult levels will pay out higher, because more difficult levels will have higher ranked monsters to fight.

The 'Endless Dungeon' would be broken down into four level catagories:

  • Easy Mode – Levels 5-20 – Ranks 1-3 Monsters
  • Normal Mode – Levels 21-35 – Ranks 3-6 Monsters
  • Hard Mode – Levels 36 – 50 – Ranks 6 and Up Monsters
  • Extreme Mode – Levels 45-50 – All Monsters Will Be Boss Monsters Rank 5 and Up

Those wizards who are level five and up will be able to get a quest from Diego. He will explain about a new addition to the arena where you can test your endurance skills. He asks you to go into the PvP arena, make a right, and go down the stairs and to meet him down there to explain the new addition. All the quests that are given here will yield NO experience rewards, but a small gold reward.

When you meet him downstairs, he'll welcome you into the brand new 'Endless Dungeon', where you can test you skills against monsters after monsters until you can't handle them anymore. Diego will then go into the explanation of the rules of the dungeon.

The main rules are as followed:

  1. Once you enter the room of the battle, there's no turning back, you must fight.
  2. There are no health or mana pixies in this dungeon, however, you may use potions and/or healing spells to regenerate health and mana.
  3. You cannot leave the dungeon by porting.
  4. You cannot mark your place in the dungeon.
  5. Once you finish a fight, you may leave the dungeon if you do not wish to continue, but if you progress on, you MUST fight the next fight.

After those rules are explained, he will go on to talk about the rewards. Based on how far you get, you will receive an amount of gold. The further you go, the more gold you will receive! However, if you port out of the dungeon, flee the fight, or be defeated in battle, you will receive nothing. So, be cautious of whether you can get through the next fight or not. Greed will not get you far. Also, because of the amount of gold you can receive, you will be limited to challenging this dungeon once every 48 hours. You will not receive any experience in these fights, no matter how many fights you do.

The dungeon can be done up to four players at once, however, the more players you have, the more difficult the 'Endless Dungeon' will be. Also, to challenge players who can go far into this dungeon, there will be a new boss, rank 3 for easy, rank 6 for normal, rank 9 for hard, and rank 12 for those who dare go far on extreme. This new boss will challenge wizards to the limit, but will handsomely reward those who can manage to defeat it, along with a shiny new badge to brag to their friends.

Below is a rough map of the general area of the 'Endless Dungeon'.

Level 49!

Not much in Wizard101 to talk about for me. Although, today James Lifecaller has hit level 49! Now I can see the long road to level 50 and my grandmaster title. A whopping 41,880 experience to achieve.

Other than that, I have been playing the roll of healer for Fallon Moongem and Calamity. Calamity is inching closer to her grandmaster title. Though this morning I did get ticked off when Wizard101 disconnected me in the middle of The Labyrinth and then I couldn't get back in.

One more thing I have been doing is some pictures on MS Paint. They are designed like those funny motivational posters you see online. I created five of them for four of my coolest friends on Wizard101 and also one for myself. I will post them later.

Enjoy!

Successful P.T! ^o^

Well, not much has happened on Wizard101 since I last posted, but I do have some good news for this blog post. Today was my potential last day of physical therapy! They really worked hard on my left hamstring, and now they want me to continue to stretch it out for a few weeks and we'll see if either I need to continue P.T., or they can close me out. =D

For those who don't know, about a couple months ago, I pulled my left hamstring during a sparring competition in New Jersey. I was still able to finish the match. The interesting part was that I had still done my individual competition without any problems until then. I still continue to take class at my do jang (studio), the only main problem is my flexibility. I just can not kick as high as I used to prior to the injury, but that doesn't mean I will keep trying! =D

So I will keep working at getting my flexibility back! Please make sure to leave a comment on my blog, or even just a note saying hi. Enjoy!

New blog! :D

Well, the first blog I tried I didn't like because no one would have been able to reply to my posts. I want people to reply to my posts, because that's what blogs are all about, right? =D So, I'm going to kind of redo my one post on this blog so that hopefully now I can get some replies!

I will start with how I got into Wizard101. It’s actually pretty simple. I started playing because I saw my mom playing this game. I then decided to make my own wizard, and James Fireblood (my pyromancer) was born. In less than 48 hours, I had completed everything I could do on the free trial I could do, and I wanted more. Soon, my mom bought the family package and I continued on with my pyromancer.

However, I got a little bored with my pyromancer, so I decided to start over with a theurgist. Coming from other MMO games, I was usually a healer, so the life school became an interest to me. Soon enough, I was playing my theurgist more and more. My theurgist currently is my highest lever and my main character, followed by my pyromancer, and then my necromancer.

So that’s pretty much how I got going in Wizard101. Short, but to the point.

My question to you now is: How did you get started in Wizard101? Did you hear about it on a website, or were you referred by one of your friends or a family member? Leave a comment on this post. Enjoy!
